Union Minister for Information Broadcasting and Urban Development, M Venkaiah Naidu has invited NGOs and Corporate entities to join hands with the Central government in setting up medical institutions across the country. The partnership, according to Naidu , will help in providing health facilities to the poor and needy. Naidu stated this after inaugurating a free health camp in Vijayawada on Saturday.

Naidu said that poor in the country are not able to get better health facilities due to scarcity of doctors and lack of health infrastructure.  He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving utmost importance to promote medical education in the country. Naidu said, the Centre is planning to set up medical educational institutions in every district of the country with the support of respective State governments and other stakeholders to produce more doctors.
