Ahead of 2019 elections,National Alliance for Women's Reservation Bill ( WRB) plans to write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with long pending Women's reservation bill in Parliament. The National Alliance comprises of  national and regional level women NGOs, have been demanding for the passage of the 33 per cent reservation in Parliament and state assemblies for several years. In recent past, these organisations have led protests in Delhi demanding the passage of the bill but nothing happened.
In the proposed letter, women NGOs under "National Alliance for Women's Reservation Bill"( WRB), would urge him to get the bill passed in the coming Parliament session itself as Lok Sabha elections are due in 2019. Women NGO activists said that they want to remind PM Modi of promise made in 2014 election manifesto on women's quota.
